Marilyn Estates residents work hard to maintain our quality of life and our property values. If you are new to our subdivision, we are sure you were attracted to your home because of the care given it by its former residents. This information is to let you know about some expectations we have of our residents in that regard.
Marilyn Estates is a deed-restricted subdivision located just outside Loop 610 in southwest Houston. Its 436 three- and four-bedroom homes are on tree-lined streets – convenient to public and private schools, shopping and other amenities such as the West Loop Park & Ride. Our address is PO Box 35144, Houston TX 77235. Contact info for officers, block directors and committee members is under Marilyn Estates Association.
We have 4 anonymous volunteers who drive through the subdivision and choose the most attractive yard on each street. Criteria considered for the best Yards of the Quarter for each street are:
- General appearance of your front yard
- Grass, trees and bushes well maintained
- Ornaments or decorations tastefully displayed
- Except for pick-up day, no garbage/recycle bins out
- Your address must be clearly visible from the street
A reminder: To give all those who may qualify an equal opportunity to compete, the YOTQ will be awarded to any property only one time during the calendar year.
